2000 Audi A6

The most difficult part of describing the Audi A6 is knowing where to start from. Initially, the Audi A6 presents itself as a sculpted, polished, aerodynamic masterpiece. Beautifully proportioned qualities make it a serious contender with other luxury sedans in it's class. Initially, the 2000 models are available in 3 options with 2 newly introduced versions. Attempting to offer more variability to the consumers, Audi makes a skeptical buyer somewhat unsure of which engine package to choose from. For approximately $34,000, the standard A6 model is equipped with a 2.8 liter V6 engine. This double-overhead-cam V6 produces 200 horsepower.

If you want to kick it up a couple of notches, Audi introduced its new versions this year. For approximately $38,500 the twin turbocharged 250-horsepower V6 2.7T will certainly get your juices flowing.

As for the "big daddy" of them all, the 4.2 liter, 5 valve 8 cylinder A6 is finally available, but with a base price tag nearing $49,000.

Anyone who knows Audis is familiar with the renowned Quattro all-wheel drive system which is standard on the 2.7T and 42 models, but optional for the 2.8L sedan. This certainly is a worthy consideration given the advanced technical enhancement it offers its drivers, especially during inclement weather conditions. Lending itself to even more control is the Triptronic feature which enables you to adapt a somewhat customized shifting stance, if desired. Want even more? An Electronic Stability Program is also available.

However, be warned that bringing out all the brute qualities of these cars is bound to land you a speeding ticket.

As for the interior, Audi was wise to come up with the term atmosphere in defining it's overall ambiance.

The three different atmospheres are phrased as "Advance", "Ambiente" and "Ambition" each offering a distinct persona.

Other attractive features for the A6 include a cold-weather package with a heated stearing wheel, a warm weather package with a solar sunroof providing power for ventilation, and a convenience package which includes audio controls on the steering wheel, autodimming rear and side view mirrors, a Home Link remote transmitter and memory settings for the 12-way power drivers seat with power lumbar support for those long journeys which will be a pleasure to take in this vehicle.

Overall, the Audi A6 is a wise investment that should keep its owners smiling for many days to come.
